Facial Acupuncture is a safe and painless treatment method. With needles in the acupuncture points, it stimulates the blood circulation and helps to produce more collagen. You may want to try it if you want to feel more balanced and look fabulous. If you are scared about Botox or laser. Let’s discover more about this less-artificial beauty tonic.

DOES IT HURT?  It’s honestly not as scary as you’d think. The needles are very fine. The insertion of the needles does sometimes produce some sensation, often described as a pinch, perhaps a feeling of tingling.  The fact is acupuncture is one of the most relaxing treatments you can get.

WHAT IS FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE? (or cosmetic) acupuncture is a combination of ancient Chinese medicine wisdom and modern antiaging theory. Some scientists found that facial mimetic muscles gradually straighten and shorten with age as a result of increased resting muscle tone. (Louarn 2007) Based on this theory, the practitioner inserted acupuncture needles at head muscles including the temporalis, midfacial muscles including the nasalis…to rebuild the facial elasticity. A small study suggest that cosmetic acupuncture increased the water and oil content of facial skin (Nozomi 2012). Living in London can be stressful, it not only affects your well-being but also has an impact on skin and beauty. The traditional Chinese acupuncture focuses on achieving health and wellbeing through the cultivation of harmony within our lives.

WHAT CAUSES MY SKIN TO AGE ? Many things cause our skin to age. Some of the major causes include: unhealthy diet, stress and sunlight. So please protect your skin from the sun every day and try to have a healthy, well-balanced diet.

IS ACUPUNCTURE ONLY FOR WRINKLES? No, facial acupuncture can be used for wrinkles, brown spots, it can lift sagging skin, particularly around the cheek area and give you a radiant complexion. Because acupuncture is a holistic, natural treatment, so your body should feel better as well.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED? Initially we recommend that you have a course of 10 to 12 treatments.  For optimum results, the treatments should be done at least once a week.  After that, we recommend following up with a maintenance treatment of one treatment per month.

WHO SHOULD NOT TRY IT? Facial acupuncture is not recommended for everyone. If a patient has the following disorders, they will not be treated with Cosmetic Acupuncture:

Pregnant Women

Any serious illness

CAN I USE ACUPUNCTURE AFTER BOTOX?   Cosmetic acupuncture improves the look of your skin and lift your face while Botox targets specific fine lines and wrinkles.  You can still use cosmetic acupuncture after Botox.

The appearance of the skin is connected to the state of your health, so it is important to balance the mind, body, and spirit.
